Privacy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Akompi has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your settings and songs stay on your phone, unless you turn on sharing.
Who is responsible
Akompi is made by Dragoș Rusea, in Romania. For anything about your data, write to support at akompi.app.
On your phone
Your settings, your songs and a small record of how the app ran stay on your phone. They are not sent anywhere. A note that the free minutes were used stays on the phone even if you delete the app, so they are given only once.
Payments
Apple handles trials and payments. We never see your name, your card or your Apple Account. The app only learns from Apple whether a plan is active, and Apple sends us sales reports with no names in them. Apple's own privacy policy applies to your purchase.
Sharing with your band
Sharing is off until you turn it on in Settings › Share live chords. While it is on, the app sends our server what your band needs to see: the key, the chords you play, the song you have open, and the titles and chords of your songs. They are stored under a random link. Your name is not part of it, unless you put it in a song's title.
Anyone with the link can see them, so give it only to people you trust with your songs. The chords played live are kept in the server's memory and are forgotten when it restarts, or after a week without use. Your songs stay on the server, so the band can read them while your phone is off. To have them removed, write to us.
Checking for updates
When the app opens, it asks our server whether a newer version should be recommended. The request says nothing about you.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours may keep technical logs for a short time, including internet addresses. We use them only to keep the service running. The server is hosted by Netcup, in the European Union.
This website
This site uses no cookies and no analytics. The sounds of the chords you can play on it come from this site and stay in your browser.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected or have it deleted, and you can complain to your data protection authority. In Romania, that is ANSPDCP.
Children
Akompi is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here, with a new date.
